Meditation & Enlightenment: The Power Of Observation

"If you are observing
your thoughts,
it means automatically that
you are not your thoughts.
Your identity
exists beyond thinking.
Sounds very basic and logical
but consider this:
If you are not the thinker
of your thoughts
(because you are observing
the thoughts happening)
then what is left that you are?
Only observation is left.
Not you doing the action
of observing
but observation itself.
Take it from the other direction:
Stop all thoughts for one second,
what is left?
Again, observation,
there is the observation of no-thought.
That observation never
can be taken away.
Only when you are distracted
by the assumption
that you are the thinker of your thoughts
are you not aware of observation.
Already,
by remaining as the observer
instead of assuming yourself
to be the thinker,
there is freedom.
There can be thoughts, emotions,
all hell could break loose,
but if you remain as the observer,
there is freedom and bliss.
What eventually happens
when you focus on observation
is that the thoughts slow down
and can stop all together.
Then all that is left is awareness.
A sense of freedom and peace
that nourishes every cell of your being.
An exquisite wash of vibrating energy.
Blessings,
Kip"
