Meditation: How To Transcend Suffering

"From the perspective of the mind,
one is always looking
to have happiness
without unhappiness,
to have pleasure
and no pain.
But there can be
no happiness
without unhappiness
and no pleasure
without pain.
And so the suffering comes
from trying to fight
the natural law
of positive and negative
existing together.
But if you allow
both to exist,
if you allow whatever arises
be it positive or negative,
you will see both arise
as the same flow of energy.
And in this flow
a new experience of
existence arises.
You exist as the witness,
watching the whole
ebb and flow happen,
uninvolved and undisturbed
by whatever movie
is playing on the screen,
allowing life to play itself out.
In this
there is a new happiness
that has no opposite,
an experience
of unfathomable peace
that shines forth
without condition or reason.
So in spiritual practice,
it is not about
trying to force everything
to be positive
but to transcend
the whole involvement
with sensory gratification,
through acceptance and witnessing.
Then it is not about
making yourself content
but rather existing
in a completely new way,
beyond the mind,
where your natural quality
is contentment
and that contentment
touches everyone around you.
Blessings,
Kip"

Isn't that what one call's “enlightenment”?….to see ones sorrow burned to ashes and still breathe's their existence of ones mortality of poop past, and extinguished into a betterment towards equality of nothing but the truth of U?
